What is cellulite?

Cellulite is a change in the appearance of the skin caused by an irregular distribution of fat and changes in the connective tissue under the skin. It often appears as dimples or bumps, particularly on the thighs, hips, and buttocks. Although cellulite is often seen as an aesthetic problem, it is completely natural and affects many women, regardless of their weight or body shape.

Causes of cellulite

Cellulite occurs when enlarged fat cells under the skin press against the connective tissue, causing it to become irregular due to the tension. Hormonal changes, especially during puberty, pregnancy or menopause, play an important role in the development of cellulite. Genetic predisposition, an unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, smoking and poor blood circulation also promote the formation of cellulite.
