Arm lift – brachioplasty
Excess skin on the upper arms, whether due to ageing or after weight loss, can lead to considerable dissatisfaction or embarrassment and severely impair quality of life.

Indication
With increasing age or after weight loss, the skin on the upper arms can lose elasticity and sag. An arm lift (brachioplasty) offers an effective solution to remove excess skin and fatty tissue on the inside of the upper arms and thus improve the contours of the arms.
Treatment
The volume of the upper arms is reduced through a precise incision using liposuction, while the excess skin is removed and tightened to create a harmonious contour. The incision is usually made on the inside of the arm in order to leave scars that are as inconspicuous as possible. Liposuction plays a crucial role in protecting nerves, blood vessels and lymphatic channels. It also makes it possible to remove unwanted fat deposits on the arms, in the transition area to the chest and on the back.
We will be happy to discuss individual treatment plans with you to help you achieve firmer and shapely upper arms.
Aftercare and result
Swelling and bruising may occur after the arm lift, which will subside over the first few weeks. In exceptional cases, compression garments should be worn for 4 to 6 weeks to support healing. The final result will be visible after a few months, once the swelling has completely subsided. The scars fade over time and are made as inconspicuous as possible.
Experience a positive change and increase your self-confidence with an upper arm lift.

Frequently asked questions about arm lifting
Who is an upper arm lift suitable for?
For people with sagging skin on the upper arms that does not improve with exercise or diet.
How long does the procedure take?
The operation usually takes between 1,5 and 3 hours, depending on the extent of skin excess and the fat deposits.
Are there non-surgical alternatives?
In mild cases, treatments such as non-invasive radiofrequency or ultrasound therapy can help, but they do not offer the same effectiveness as surgical tightening.
Is an arm lift possible without long scars?
If you are mainly dealing with excess fatty tissue on the upper arms and the skin has sufficient elasticity, liposuction can be combined with a skin-tightening BodyTite™ treatment to achieve an aesthetically pleasing result. If there is little excess skin and good skin quality, minimally invasive skin tightening with BodyTite™ without liposuction is also possible.
How does the healing process work?
You will usually be able to carry out light activities after a few days. Physically strenuous activities should be avoided for about 4 to 6 weeks.
Do scars remain visible?
The scars are placed as inconspicuously as possible. Their visibility decreases over time. Good aftercare can support healing.
Are there any risks associated with an arm lift?
Possible risks include infections, wound healing disorders, impaired scarring or temporary loss of sensation in the arms.
How long does the result last?
Even if the skin tightening effect will diminish somewhat over time, the result will remain good for years if the body weight remains stable.
Can an arm lift be combined with other procedures?
Yes, it is often combined with liposuction in other areas or another skin tightening procedure.
When can I do exercise again?
Light exercises can be started after about 2 weeks, intensive sport after about 6 weeks.
How much does an arm lift cost?
The costs vary depending on the extent of the treatment and start from 8 000 CHF. You will receive a definitive cost estimate after a personal consultation.
