Breast reduction
Women who decide to have a breast reduction often experience a deep sense of relief and are among the happiest patients in plastic surgery.

Indication
A breast reduction can significantly improve both physical and psychological well-being. Women with very large breasts often suffer from back pain, neck tension and skin irritation. Psychological burdens such as shame or an impaired self-image, often beginning in puberty, are also not uncommon.
Treatment
The procedure involves the removal of excess fat, glandular and skin tissue in order to remodel and firm the breast. This is done using precise incisions, which are chosen according to the individual findings. The most common incisions are around the areola, vertically downwards or additionally along the underbust crease.
Aftercare and result
After the operation you will be given a special bra, which should be worn for a further 6 weeks. After 4 to 6 weeks, most of the signs of the operation should have healed. Swelling and temporary loss of sensation may occur during the healing process.
We always strive to meet individual needs and achieve excellent results.

Frequently asked questions about breast reduction
What is the procedure for a breast reduction?
On the day of the breast reduction, you will arrive at the private clinic about an hour before the operation. The new breast contours will be marked before the operation. The operation takes about 2.5 hours and is performed under general anesthetic. You will be allowed to leave the private clinic a few hours after the operation. However, there is also the possibility of an overnight stay.
What can I expect after a breast reduction?
Most patients feel relieved immediately after the operation, which often goes hand in hand with an improved self-image.
Will visible scars remain after the breast reduction?
The scars run around the areola and sometimes also vertically downwards or along the breast fold. They are usually barely noticeable after a few months, depending on individual healing and genetic predisposition.
