Butt augmentation – BBL – butt lift
A butt augmentation or a butt lift beautifies the female silhouette.

Indication
If you are dissatisfied with the shape or size of your buttock, butt augmentation with gluteal implants, fat grafting or a buttock lift can significantly improve your well-being.
Treatment
Technological advances, fuelled by the trend towards aesthetically pleasing body curves, enable plastic surgeons to use high-quality implants and innovative methods such as autologous fat grafting.
Regardless of the technique, it is important to us to always keep the result natural and proportionally correct.
Aftercare and result
Slight swelling and bruising may occur after the treatment, which will subside within a few days to weeks. Healing after buttock augmentation with implants takes longer than after autologous fat grafting.
We will be happy to discuss your needs and create a customised treatment plan.

Frequently asked questions about butt augmentation
How does buttock augmentation with implants work?
When using implants to enlarge the buttocks, the insertion takes place via a hidden incision in the crease of the buttocks, either beneath the muscle membrane (fascia) or between the muscles near the ischium. You should know that sitting is not affected and there are no functional restrictions after healing.
Do butt implants have to be replaced over time?
Generally, it is not necessary to replace the implants, but their integrity is checked by ultrasound examinations as part of the aftercare.
What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?
A Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is a procedure to enlarge and tighten the buttocks using autologous fat to improve volume and shape.
Fat is removed by liposuction from areas such as the abdomen, thighs or hips, purified and then injected into the buttocks to improve volume and shape. This procedure is customised to achieve natural and harmonious results.
The Brazilian butt lift is more than just a butt augmentation with autologous fat; it is a comprehensive body modelling procedure that particularly affects the proportions between the hips and waist.
The fat is injected in and around the buttocks region under the skin and in the deeper layers of fat to achieve an aesthetically pleasing effect. In some cases, a combination of implants and autologous fat grafting (lipofilling) may be the appropriate treatment method for aesthetic reasons or if there are insufficient fat deposits.
It is extremely important that your own fat is never injected into or under the muscles to prevent serious complications such as fat embolism. This requires great technical expertise.
Who is a candidate for a butt augmentation?
Ideal for people who are dissatisfied with the shape or size of their buttocks and want a significant improvement. Sufficient fat reserves must be available for a BBL, as it is not possible to transfer fat from other people.
How does a buttock lift work?
A buttock lift aims to remove excess skin, often after weight loss, and to shape firmer buttock contours. The procedure involves liposuction and the removal of excess skin through an incision in the underwear area or in the crease under the buttocks.
Is the treatment painful?
No pain is to be expected during the procedure as it is performed under general anesthesia. After the treatment, moderate to strong pain or tightness may occur, which can be very well treated with painkillers.
How long does the healing process take?
Usually, you will be able to work again after about 1 to 3 weeks. With implants, the downtime is longer than with a BBL. A compression garment is recommended for around 4 to 6 weeks to support healing.
Will visible scars remain?
The scars after a butt augmentation with autologous fat or implants are barely visible; with a buttock lift they are positioned so that they are as inconspicuous as possible and concealed by the underwear.
What are the risks?
Possible risks include swelling, infections, blood clots, wound healing disorders or temporary loss of sensation in the treated area.
How long does the result last?
The result is usually permanent as long as the body weight remains stable and a healthy lifestyle is maintained.
Can buttock augmentation be combined with other procedures?
Yes, it can be combined with other aesthetic procedures.
When can I do exercise again?
Light exercise is possible after about 2 weeks. Intensive sport should be avoided for 8 to 12 weeks.
How much does a butt augmentation cost?
The costs vary depending on the extent of the treatment and start from 10 000 CHF.
