Brow lift and forehead lift
Lifting drooping eyebrows gives you a more alert, happier and more likeable appearance.

Indication
The eyebrows play a decisive role in facial aesthetics and facial expressions. Drooping eyebrows convey a tired, sad, aged and sometimes unsympathetic impression. Drooping or sagging eyebrows press on the upper eyelid and can increase or even cause excess skin on the upper eyelid.
Treatment
Brow lifts and forehead lifts are surgical procedures that aim to rejuvenate the upper part of the face by lifting sagging eyebrows and smoothing forehead wrinkles. These procedures can make the face appear fresher and more alert.
Aftercare and result
Swelling and bruising may occur after the procedure, which will subside within a few days to weeks. Cooling the eye area in the first few days can help to reduce these symptoms. As a rule, you will be presentable after about 1 to 2 weeks. However, the scars may remain red for several months.
We will be happy to explain to you in a consultation why an eyebrow lift or forehead lift is often necessary for a holistic correction of the periorbital area.

Frequently asked questions about brow lifts and forehead lifts
What are the advantages of these procedures?
A browlift and forehead lift can rejuvenate the appearance of the upper part of the face and smooth out forehead wrinkles.
What techniques do we offer?
The eyebrows can be lifted through an incision along the upper border of the eyebrow (direct brow lift), through a forehead lift with an incision in front of or behind the hairline and through a temple lift (temporal lift). Care is taken to place scars as inconspicuously as possible. The appropriate technique will be discussed with you individually during your consultation.
How does a brow lift and forehead lift work?
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, twilight sleep or general anesthesia. The duration of the procedure varies depending on the extent and is usually between 1 and 2 hours. The brow lift and forehead lift is often combined with other procedures such as an upper eyelid correction in order to achieve a harmonious overall result.
What can you expect after the procedure?
Initially, a slight overcorrection is to be expected, as the eyebrow will lower slightly during the healing process – depending on the technique used. The final result is visible after around 2 to 3 months, as soon as the swelling has completely subsided.
What are the risks?
Possible risks include swelling, scarring problems, asymmetries or temporary loss of sensation in the treated area.
How long does the result last?
The result is permanent, although the natural ageing process continues. Depending on the technique, a further procedure may be necessary during the process.
When can I do sports again?
Light exercise is possible after 2 weeks, intensive exercise should be avoided for 4 weeks.
How much does a brow lift cost?
The costs vary depending on the extent of the treatment and start from 3 500 CHF.
