Nipple correction
A beautifully shaped and well-proportioned nipple and areola are key features of the female breast.

Indication
Inverted (inverted nipples) or excessively enlarged nipples and areolae can be perceived as disturbing. These aesthetic blemishes can affect self-confidence and lead to functional problems.
Treatment
Nipple correction is a surgical procedure that aims to improve the appearance of the nipples and areola (areola). The treatment is individualised based on the type and extent of the change in the nipple or areola.
Aftercare and result
Mild pain and bruising may occur after the operation, which will subside within a few days to weeks. Scarring is very individual and effective scar therapy, including the use of scar care products, is crucial for the final result.
We are happy to help you realise your individual aesthetic goals.

Frequently asked questions about nipple correction
How does a inverted nipple correction work?
To correct an inverted nipple, the shortened milk ducts of the retracted nipples are cut in order to bring the nipple permanently into a forward-facing position.
Are there other treatment methods?
In some cases, minimally invasive procedures, such as the use of filling materials like hyaluronic acid, or a special implant (Fixnip) can provide a solution.
What is a nipple reduction?
In the case of disproportionate nipples, excess tissue is removed in order to reduce the size of the nipple and adapt it aesthetically to the breast.
How does an areola reduction work?
In the case of enlarged areolae, an incision is made around the areola to reduce the size of the areola.
What are the risks of nipple and areola correction?
The risks include infection, changes in sensation and scarring problems, but these are easily treatable. In most cases, inverted nipple correction is permanently successful. In rare cases, the nipple may retract again and a follow-up operation may be necessary.
How long does it take to heal and when can I do sports or go to the sauna again?
The wound heals after 2 weeks. It takes around 6 to 8 weeks for the scar to heal and it can remain red for up to 12 months. After 2 weeks you can resume sports activities and go to the sauna. Generally, you can retur to work immediately.
Can I breastfeed my child after an inverted nipple correction?
After an inverted nipple correction, breastfeeding is often no longer possible as the milk ducts have to be cut during the operation. The ability to breastfeed can also be lost if the nipple is reduced in size.
Can the procedure be combined with other procedures?
Yes, nipple correction can be combined well with procedures such as breast augmentation.
Is special aftercare required?
Avoiding pressure or friction on the nipples is crucial to optimise the result. After healing, we recommend an intensive scar massage if an areola reduction has been performed.
How much does a nipple correction cost?
The costs for a nipple correction start at 500 CHF. For a reduction of the areola, you can expect to pay from 3 000 CHF. The exact price depends on the extent of the procedure.
