PRP hair – plasma treatment
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is made up of two main components: plasma, the liquid component of blood, and platelets, which play a critical role in healing throughout the body and contain growth factors.

Indication
PRP has been used successfully for years to improve hair quality and to prevent and treat hormonal hair loss (androgenetic alopecia).
Treatment
To produce PRP we need a small amount of your blood. Plasma and platelets are separated from the other blood components by a rapidly rotating centrifuge. The resulting PRP is then injected into the treatment area to stimulate hair growth, improve hair quality and prevent hair loss.
Result
The results of PRP treatment are most visible after about 6 months and can be maintained with regular top-up treatments.
PRP is a safe and proven procedure for hair loss.

Frequently asked questions about PRP therapy
How does PRP stimulate hair growth?
Studies show that an increased concentration of growth factors in the application area stimulates the natural regeneration and cell renewal processes. Among other things, these factors influence a specialised group of skin cells that is crucial for hair growth. The treatment also promotes the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis), which nourish the hair follicles.
How long does a PRP treatment take?
A treatment usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
How many treatments are necessary?
Based on scientific findings, we recommend 4 PRP sessions every 4 weeks at the beginning, followed by maintenance treatments every 3-6 months. Individual treatments are less effective.
Are there any risks or side effects?
As PRP is derived from your own blood, side effects are very rare. However, there may be moderate pain, swelling or minor bruising at the injection sites.
Is the treatment painful?
The treatment is usually well tolerated. If necessary, nitrous oxide (Entonox®) can be administered.
Can PRP be used for any form of hair loss?
PRP is particularly effective for androgenetic hair loss and diffuse hair loss. The results are usually limited in the case of completely bald patches or advanced hair loss.Is PRP also suitable for women?
Yes, PRP treatment is suitable for both men and women with hair loss or thinning hair. Can PRP be combined with other hair treatments?
Yes, PRP can be combined with other treatments such as hair growth products (e.g. Fynzur and Minoxidil), exosomes, microneedling or certain nutritional supplements to enhance the effect. In addition, PRP is often used for maintenance therapy after a hair transplant. Are there any special recommendations after the treatment?
Direct sunlight, visits to the sauna and intensive head massages should be avoided for 24 hours. Is PRP a permanent solution to hair loss?
PRP can support hair growth in the long term, but a regular top-up every 6 to 12 months is recommended to maintain the results. What distinguishes PRP from other hair growth treatments?
PRP utilises the body’s own growth factors, making it a natural, low-risk and chemical-free method of stimulating hair growth.
Can I wash my hair immediately after the treatment?
It is recommended that you do not wash your hair for a few hours after the treatment so as not to impair the effect.
Are there contraindications to PRP treatment?
People with blood clotting disorders, active infections or certain autoimmune diseases should not undergo the treatment.
