Thigh lift
A thigh lift is the ideal solution if your skin loses elasticity due to the natural ageing process or after weight loss, and there is visible sagging or unwanted fat deposits showing on the thighs.

Indication
Significant weight loss or the natural ageing process can lead to excess, sagging skin on the thighs. This excess skin can not only be aesthetically unpleasant, but can also cause friction and skin irritation.
Treatment
A thigh lift helps to improve the contours of the legs and achieve a firmer silhouette. A thigh lift also offers the additional benefit of significantly improving irregularities such as cellulite, lipedema or the consequences of unsuccessful liposuction.
Aftercare and result
Swelling and bruising occur after the operation, but these subside within a few weeks. The final result is visible after several months, once the tissue has fully adapted. Scars fade over time and although the scars are long, satisfaction after the operation is usually high.
We look forward to working with you to develop a personalised treatment plan to make your legs firmer and more harmonious.

Frequently asked questions about thigh lifts
Who is suitable candidate for a thigh lift?
A thigh lift is ideal for people who have excess skin on the inner thighs after weight loss or due to the natural ageing process and want to tighten their silhouette.
How does a thigh lift work?
The thigh lift is performed under general anesthesia and tightens the excess skin on the thigh. It is always combined with liposuction in order to protect nerves, blood vessels and lymphatic channels. Depending on the findings, the incision is made on the inside of the thighs and in the groin area to keep scars as inconspicuous as possible.
Which technique do we use?
A thigh lift is usually performed with a vertical incision along the inside of the thigh. This method enables effective removal of excess skin, as horizontal incisions alone are often not sufficient and can cause wide scars that migrate downwards over time. If necessary, liposuction of the legs can also be performed to achieve a more harmonious overall appearance.
How long does the procedure take?
The duration of the procedure depends on the extent of the skin laxity and fat deposits and is between 2 and 4 hours.
Is the treatment painful?
No pain is to be expected during the treatment as the procedure is performed under general anesthesia. After the procedure, moderate to strong pain or tightness may occur, but this can be treated with painkillers.
How long does the healing process take?
Healing usually takes about 2 weeks before you are able to work again. However, intensive sporting activities should be suspended for at least 6 to 12 weeks.
Why is it important to wear compression garments?
Wearing a compression garment for 4 to 6 weeks is crucial for the result in order to minimise bruising, pain and swelling during the healing phase. The compression garment also effectively support scar healing.
What are the risks?
Possible risks include swelling, infection, wound healing disorders, blood clots and temporary loss of sensation in the treated area.
Is the result permanent?
The results are permanent, even if skin firmness may decrease slightly over time – provided that weight remains stable and a healthy lifestyle is maintained.
Can a thigh lift be combined with other procedures?
Yes, a thigh lift can be combined with liposuction or other lifting operations to optimise the result. However, due to the duration of the procedure, we usually recommend performing additional skin tightening operations on other parts of the body in several stages.
How much does a thigh lift cost?
The costs vary depending on the extent of the treatment and start from 12 000 CHF. You will receive a detailed cost estimate after a personal consultation.
