The aim of a thread lift is to give the face a fresh and rested appearance. It promotes collagen production and allows the cheeks to be temporarily lifted, the cheekbones to be emphasised or the lower jaw to be contoured, making certain areas of the face appear firmer without surgical intervention.
Lifting with absorbable threads
Fine needles insert absorbable threads made of polylactic acid or polydioxanone into the subcutaneous fatty tissue and tighten them. This lifts and supports the skin without causing visible scars.
Result
The first lifting effects are visible immediately after the treatment, but only last for a short time. The long-lasting effect is due to the natural collagen stimulation that occurs over the following months.

We only use dissolvable threads from Aptos and Silhouette Soft, which dissolve within a year and simultaneously promote collagen stimulation. This leads to skin rejuvenation that lasts 1 to 2 years and results in an overall more youthful appearance.
How long does the treatment take?
Depending on the area treated, the treatment takes between 30 and 60 minutes.
Is a thread lift painful?
As a local anesthetic is used, most people find the treatment less painful. Slight discomfort may occur, but is well tolerated.
Are there any side effects?
Possible side effects include skin irregularities, swelling or bruising at the injection sites, which usually disappear after a few days.
Does the treatment have to be repeated?
Depending on the type of thread, several treatments are often required. Either several build-up treatments or annual refresher treatments to maintain the result for longer.
