Tummy tuck – abdominoplasty

A flat tummy contributes to a slim and elegant figure.

Appointment

Indication

A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) proves to be extremely helpful if excess skin and fatty tissue on the abdomen cannot be reduced despite maintaining a healthy diet and targeted exercise program.

Causes

Pregnancy, aging or weight loss are common causes of excess skin on the abdomen.

Treatment

During a tummy tuck, not only the sagging abdominal skin but also the underlying muscles are tightened. At the same time, unwanted fat deposits can be removed.

Incision

The incision is planned individually to ensure that the scar is later discreetly concealed by underwear. After undermining the abdominal wall up to the sternum and mobilising it downwards, the belly button is reinserted into the tightened abdominal wall.

Mini-abdominoplasty

If the excess skin only exists below the belly button, you may be suitable for a mini-abdominoplasty, in which the abdominal wall is only undermined to just above the belly button. The latter is slightly lowered, without the need for additional incisions to reinsert it.

Result

Despite a long scar, the result of a tummy tuck usually leads to a considerable improvement in aesthetics and well-being.

Lymphatic massage

A post-operative lymphatic massage contributes significantly to the result.

Compression garment

To promote the healing process after muscle tightening, I recommend wearing a compression garment for the first six weeks after the procedure.

I will be happy to discuss individual treatment plans with you to help you achieve a toned abdomen.
